I am so tired as I haven't slept well the last few days, I am afraid pimples will come and say hello to me and stay for a week on me. Sigh I have realized how much important it is to sleep well and early for a bright clear skin. Beauties, I have stopped drinking anything else than water and tea, just for a healthier body and skin. Of course also to reduce my serious water retention.

Yesterday me and my homie went for an amazing dinner at a 1 star Michelin restaurant and we were amazed by the food, the atmosphere and the fact we were both completely stuffed after a menu with 6 courses! I actually don't like to spend that much money on food, but it was a free dinner offered by my company WOOHOO xD! It was definitely worth trying and I am actually considering to re-visit Yamazato when it's financially possible. =D

It has been a little while again since my last blog update and today I would like to review a product that I have been using for the past year. Yes, I bought that expensive lotion for my face hoping it would do wonders.

SK-II is very famous in Asia and is awarded as best selling and best recommended product for better skin conditions. Once again, I could not resist the temptation to try this product.
It has been said that SK-II Facial Treatment Essence helps to improve the appearance of 5 dimensions of beautiful, crystal clear skin: age spots are less visible, appearance of wrinkles is reduced, skin texture is more refined, firmness is improved, and radiance is beautifully elevated. Skin becomes breathtakingly crystal clear.

SK II contains Pitera, which is derived from a strictly controlled natural fermentation process, Pitera™ is a clear liquid rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids. The fascinating combination of nutrients work to dramatically improve the skin’s natural surface rejuvenation process. This unique and signature ingredient bears close resemblance to the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) – a deciding element in the restoration and enhancement of translucency, softness and smoothness. Sounds promising right? haha I have heard a lot great stories so I wanted to see the results myself.

How to use: Soak a cotton pad and gently smooth onto your face for 1 minute. Turn the cotton pad around and gently pat onto your face and neck for another minute. Apply every morning and night after cleansing and toning.

To be honest, I have been using this toner for a few month and it didn't do magic. So I was like, what's with the hype?! However, I do have to admit clears my face and soothes the skin very nicely. My face looks a bit brighter and my pimple scar spots are also less visible. The reason I'm saying it doesn't do magic is because I do find it too overhyped. The results aren't thattt amazing. The lotion is great and I would love to continue using it, but the price tag for this is a little bit too over. =/

Recommended? Yes!
Repurchase? Um.. Yes... when I have lots of money to spend. XD

[Review] L'egereღ Magic Skin Beautifier CC Cream

Hey Cuties, 

It's been a while since my previous post, so it's about time to review more beauty products. So... what have I been using a lot for the past month? CC cream... something that I absolutely adore now=D!

CC Cream also known as Color Correct Cream/ Correct & Care Cream, is a refined version of BB cream. CC cream was developed to retain all the benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients whilst reducing the appearance of skin redness... so CC cream is more a skincare product with a coverage.

Sounds very convincing huh? However, when I found out about this product I actually not very interested... reason? Because my previous CC cream wasn't really great, so I wasn't sure whether I would want to try this product again. So who and what convinced me...? xD Television of course...xD!!  This product is recommended by the Taiwanese Beauty Guru at 女人我最大, was voted for best CC cream in 2013 at urcosme.com and also the bestselling CC cream, so I decided to give it a try. 

Some information about this famous brand: "The L’EGERE research-based center is rooted in Korea, a country which is famous for plastic surgery techniques.We invite the most authoritative dermatologists and plastic surgeons focusing on medical beauty for long-term development. In the beginning, our products were specialized in sensitive skincare after surgery by cooperating with clinics and hospitals in Korea. When these products, gradually, built up high recognition, L’EGERE, a brand which represented as medical beauty, was created and thus established in 2003."
The brand itself sounds very promising already, especially when they mention "plastic surgery", "medical beauty",  "sensitive skincare after surgery" and "cooperating with clinics and medial beauty". 

L'egere has 2 types of CC creams, Aqua Soothing Essence-In which is for hydration, and Magic Skin beautifier which hydrates and lifts! YES， I do need that extra face-lifting function.. xD, so I decided to take this one. 

So what does it do to your skin?
- Hydrates

- Whitening
- Lifting, tightens
- Wrinkle care
- Sun- protection
- Tone-up
- Smooth texture

So how to use this CC cream? All you have to do is to apply on face and start massaging it on the skin.

As you can see on the picture, the cream itself has a white color with tiny grey colored micro-beads in it. The color of the CC Cream changes after rubbing/massaging it. After rubbing, the color of the cream will change into a more nude color and will match my skin color after approximately 15 minutes. As you can see, color of my hand is a lot brighter than before. I quite like this effect. It's very natural.^^

 My skin feels very dewy and moist after applying. I was kinda shocked of the fact that this CC cream is so extremely white, but after a few minutes it completely matched my skin tone and it looked very natural as well. However, I doesn't have that much coverage, so you might need a concealer to cover some spots. Nevertheless I love this product! It's hard to say whether I prefer my favorite BB cream or this (favorite) CC cream... I must say, BB cream has a better coverage, but this CC cream makes my skin look a lot brighter. I actually combined both for a better coverage. xD I will definitely repurchase this product despite the price, I kinda think it is worth the money. So....Highly recommended! ^^!

[Review] Sofinaღ Jenne Milky Cleanser - Whitening Gel Moisturizer - Whitening Lotion 【使用心得】

I finally found some time to write a review on some skincare products I have been using the last few months. This post is about Sofina Jenne, the latest skincare series launched by Sofina for young and dehydrated skin. This series provides hydration and locks in the natural moisture of your skin for healthy complexion and smooth, refined texture. It is suitable for the early 20 -30 years old who are looking for simple yet effective hydrating products.

I always wanted to try Sofina skincare products because I am hearing a lot of positive feedback on their products, however, I just didn't do so yet because in my opinion, it is quite expensive and I wasn't sure whether it would be suitable for my skin or not.
So why on earth did I buy this series? Because I watch waaaaayyy too much television... xD This skincare line by Sofina was just launched in Taiwan a year ago, and I got curious because of the popularity in the media. ( Marketing tricks work great on me! xD )

The beauty adviser told me that Japanese skincare products tend to be superior because of the  super high quality control, and the awareness of different skintypes. She showed me all the different types of lotions, moisturizers and cleansers. I have chosen for something I didn't even think would work... WHITENING! XD I have chosen for the whitening gel moisturizer, whitening lotion and a milky cleanser. I have to confess, I am extremely naive, I believe everything, so I wanted to have that extra whitening function in my daily skincare regimen.

SOFINAღ Jenne Milky Cleanser

I will start with my face wash, Sofina Jenne Milky Cleanser. I have chosen for the milky cleanser because I am such a lazy person. I dislike cleaning my face with cotton pads and then to rinse off with water, I don't want to take time for that...! xD I love using foamy face cleansers as I can use this during the shower!^^ (I tend to think my face would not get clean without foam... xD)

How to use?
Use every morning and evening. Take a drop on the palm and add 2 drops of water and rub to create rich foam. Gently massage your face and rinse it off with lukewarm water.

This cleanser is very gentle to my skin, and not drying out at all. My skin feels very soft and moist after use. I have nothing to complain about this cleanser. This cleanser has a watery/milky consistency and after rubbing with water it'll I love the packaging, as it is very chic, simple and clean. I love the lace effect on the bottle. This cleanser comes in a bottle of 120ml, which is quite compact/small. It might not seem a lot for the money I paid, however, because I only needed 1 drop each time, this bottle has last over 7 months! So will I repurchase this cleanser? I might, when I am back in Asia again. (I have fallen for another brand which is even nicer on my skin!) Nevertheless, this is a very nice cleanser and I highly recommend this Sofina Jenne Milky cleanser to those who are looking for a gentle face cleanser without getting a squeaky/dry clean feeling.

SOFINAღ Jenne Whitening Lotion/Toner 

After washing my face, I will need a toner to minimize my pores and to get that refreshing feel on my face. Choosing the right toner is very important for the skin. This toner promises to soften, hydrate and brighten the skin. What it claims: "A skin softener contains whitening ingredient Ascorbyl Glucoside, and hydrating ingredient Amidinoproline for brightening dull skin tone and providing light hydration to the skin for soft and smooth results. It helps to improve dehydrated skin problem and correct uneven skin complexion for dewy and glowing results. "

How to use?
Shake before use. After cleansing, apply Jenne Whitening Lotion all over the face, following up with a moisturizer for a complete protection.

This bottle looks almost exactly the same as the one of the milky cleanser, but this one is even prettier with a baby blue touch, the lace effect on the bottle is even more visible now. I love their packaging! ^^

Skin feels hydrated: ♥♥♥♥ 4/5
This toner feels very refreshing, absorbs very quickly and is very moisturizing on the skin, even after 20 minutes my skin remains moisturized. This toner has a great oil-control as my face feels clean without getting oily. My skin feels very soft after use.

Whitening effect:  ♥♥ 2/5
Believe it or not, my skin looks a little bit brighter after using this toner combined with the gel moisturizer. How I found out? Well, I barely use any products on my neck ( because I am too lazy... xD) Now I realize that my face is brighter/whiter than my neck... =.='' xD ...So the whitening effect does work, however I don't know how long it'll take to get a even bigger difference in skin tone color.

Overall, it is a very nice toner with nice scent as well. I have nothing to complain, however I still prefer Laneige.. xD Will I repurchase.... I might... when I am back in Asia. Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend this toner!

SOFINAღ Jenne Whitening Gel Moisturizer

What it claims and promises: “A lightweight gel moisturizer for brightening, hydrating, moisturizing and refining skin texture. Contains a special protecting agent which is able to create a barrier between Ceramide for preventing the evaporation of natural skin's moisture. This product blends with whitening ingredient Chamomile ET and hydrating ingredient Cetyl-PG Hydroxyethyl Palmitamide for brightening dull skin tone and providing hydration to the skin. It helps to improve dehydrated skin problem and correct uneven skin complexion for dewy and glowing results. It also refreshes, moisturizes and softens your skin without clogging pores or leaving a greasy layer on the skin surface.”

How to use?
After cleansing and toning, apply the moisturizer all over the face. (Use at night, as it is very moist.)

Skin feels hydrated: ♥♥♥♥ 4/5
Great moisturizer. My skin feels dewy and moist after use. It doesn't clog my pores and it doesn't feel sticky icky after use.

Whitening effect:  ♥♥ 2/5
Same as above!I might really get a whiter skin after long use! xD

Overall: and again, nothing to complain about. I love the packaging of the Sofina Jenne Line, they're so pretty, girly and petite. However, it is actually quite expensive for such a small jar. This is a very nice moisturizing gel, and I might purchase it again... when I am back in Asia.. xD Highly recommended!

I don't regret trying this new line of Sofina. I absolutely love the packaging and scent of these products and even more important.. I am happy with the results. So why am I not sure about repurchasing? Because I will need to order it online, and I actually want to try some other skincare brands and lines first. I have actually already found a new skincare line that I absolutely adore. I will share my thoughts on this brand later^^.

[Review] Etude Houseღ Correct & Care CC Cream - Silky 【使用心得】

It's been a while since my last update! I have been pretty busy with moving for the last few weeks, but hey say hello to my new house!=D 

I'm back again with a short post about a product that I have been using a while...Etude House's Correct & Care Cream. I was so tempted to buy this after reading about this product. 

CC Cream also known as Color Correct Cream/ Correct & Care Cream, is a refined version of BB cream. CC cream was developed to retain all the benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients whilst reducing the appearance of skin redness... so CC cream is more a skincare product with a coverage.

Etude House's CC Cream is available in Silky(for normal/oily skin) and Glow (for dry skin). I have chosen for silky because I dislike having an oily look on my face.

This CC Cream has a 8-in-1 Multi-function:

- Anti-aging

- Stress Relief

- Hydration

- Whitening

- Wrinkle care

- Sun- protection

- Tone-up

- Smooth texture

- Luminosity 

The cream itself has a white color with tiny grey colored micro-beads in it. The color of the CC Cream changes after rubbing/massaging it. 

As you can see the color of my hand is much lighter than before. I quite like this effect. It's very natural.^^

Hahaha... uhh... again, don't know what to say about the stress relief part... I feels nice on the skin though.. lol.. xD

My skin felt hydrated when I was applying this product. It took ages to dry on my skin.... =.='' Which I actually dislike because my face looked glowy, grey and it smudges! After a few hours of wearing I didn't feel any hydration effect.. my skin felt very flaky and dry. 

*Whitening?(3/5)

Yes, it makes my skin whiter within a minute.. xD I have no idea whether it has an long lasting effect since I am not using it that often. 

*Sun-protection? (5/5)

Yups, SPF30 PA++ =D

*Tone-up? (2.5/5)

Umm.. yes and no. My skin tone looked nice in the first hour... but after a few hours my face looked a bit orangy and grey... =.='' (You might want to use BB cream for a better tone-up and coverage. )

*Smooth texture? (5/5)

Yep, Smooth indeed! 

*Luminosity? (1/5)

Only the first hour... xD

I was kinda disappointed by this product. It's an okay product to use as primer. This CC Cream has a very light coverage, it doesn't conceal, it's more to even out the skin tone a bit. I like the whitening effect it gives me, however it doesn't last.. =(

I have always wanted to be like a plastic doll(!!), but plastic surgery is too expensive and too risky to me, so I'll just have to live with my face. xD Oh.. and uhh.. have you noticed that all Koreans have a flawless skin?! I want that as well!!! xD haha..

I guess I might really need plastic surgery if I want to have a small face with big eyes, small nose and tiny mouth. xD Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. xD But I guess I should be possible to create a "flawless skin" look with the beauty secret of the Koreans, BB CREAM!! ^^

Skin79ღ Super+ 桃紅清透BB霜【使用心得】

This BB cream seem to be quite popular in Asia, it has been recommended by Kevin (Taiwanese Beauty Guru) on Nv Ren Wo Zui Da (女人我最大）, so I wanted to give it a try as well. (I actually got a free sample of 15g when I purchased a White Formula toner, so I didn't pay anything for this.^^v)

For those who aren't familiar with BB cream:

BB cream is a skincare - makeup product. "Blemish Balm, also called BB cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." Therefore, BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects!

This Skin79 Super+ BB cream has three functions: whitening, UV protection and wrinkle free. These 3 functions are somewhat the most important functions of all BB creams, so this BB cream isn't much different from others I guess. 

The packaging says that this product "has an excellent cover function by composition of makeup base and foundation. It can correct your irregularly different skin tones naturally. This BB cream contains Adenosine and Arbutin which are effective in whitening, wrinkles improvement cultivate more bright and elastic  moisturized skin."

How to use this: After skincare, apply evenly on skin. 

Packaging: It's PINKKKKK!!! xD I love the packaging. I like the compact size of it, and it comes with a pump. ^^

This BB cream is actually one of the most popular BB creams in Korea, so I was very curious about this product. However, after doing some research on this product, I realized that this BB cream only comes in 1 color. o.o'' I wasn't sure whether this product would be suitable for my skin color, as I am not that "white" like the Koreans are........=.='' 

Like all other BB creams, Skin 79 Super+ looks greyish when you start to apply this on the skin. However, the color will adjust and blend in with your skin tone. (You might have to wait like 10 minutes though.. xD) The consistency of the BB cream is very creamy and the coverage of this product is great. My skin looked evenly and dewy after applying this BB cream. (Although, I do still need a concealer to cover my dark spots).

 

Pros & Cons:

  

♥ Natural look, no heavy foundation effect

♥ Moisturizing
♥ No exact color match is needed.
(color shades adjust to your skin as long as you get the one that is right for your undertone)

♥ Easy to apply

♥UV protection 

♥ Whitening (not sure whether it works though.. xD) 
♥Anti-Wrinkle

✖ The color of this BB cream might not blend well if you have a darker skin tone.
 ✖ my skin felt a little bit dry after a while.
(This BB cream might be more suitable for people with a more oily skin.)

This BB cream gives me a natural flawless skin look. I like the fact that my skin looks dewy and healthy after applying this. I would highly recommend this BB cream. The coverage is good enough and it has skin benefits^^!

(Nevertheless, I still like Missha M Signature Real Complete BB cream more)

[Review] Misshaღ M Perfect Cover & M Signature Real Complete BB Cream No.23 【使用心得】

Today I am going to write a review about my favorite BB creams: Missha M perfect Cover & M Signature Real Complete BB cream =D


I have a sensitive skin and I often get red spots on my face and neck =.='' So for me it is important to cover all these imperfections. When I first heard about BB cream, I was very excited about this product. It's a skincare - makeup product. "Blemish Balm, also called BB cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects!

After lots of research online, I decided to try Missha's BB cream, as they seemed to be best all around. My first BB cream was Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream no.23. This product gave me an even natural-looking coverage, without drying my face out. I have a quite dry skin, so normal foundation won't work for me. BB cream is more like a tinted moisturizer with whitening and anti-wrinkle effects with UV protection. 

I love this product! It gives me a natural flawless skin!

Okay.... I was suppose to write a review about the M Signature Real Complete BB
cream... xD 

So why did I decide to try another BB cream, while I have already found a good one? Well, 2.5 years ago, the salesperson in the Missha shop in Hong Kong introduced this newer version BB cream to me. I decided to try this new bb cream, as it seemed to be very promising. (though it was very pricey over there..=.='' MISSHA products are far more expensive in Hong Kong =.=''!!!) 

This M Signature Real Complete BB cream contains: peptide complex, gingko water and 50 kinds of botanical complex, it provides abundant moisture and nutrients to the skin to help make it healthy. It is Non-chemical, Paraben-free, Mineral oil-free, Alcohol-free, GMO-free, Triclosan-free and Benzophenone-free.

This BB cream is made for sensitive and dry skin. Just like the M Perfect Cover, it reduces the signs of aging and sun-spots. 

The M Signature Real Complete BB cream comes in 3 colors, no.13 light milk beige, no.21 light pink beige and no.23 natural yellow beige. Unfortunately, I am not that white, so I am using the darkest color they have, no.23 Natural yellow beige.

If you have a more tanned skin color, you can try the M Perfect Cover. The M Perfect Cover comes in 5 colors. They have no.27 Honey Beige and no. 31 Golden Beige for darker skin.

I have tried a lot of BB creams, and I must say, in my opinion, MISSHA is the BEST! xD I have a allergic and sensitive skin, so normal foundation dries my skin out and my skin will get flaky because of it. This BB cream gives me a dewy, flawless skin tone, without having a heavy foundation effect. I love the fact that my skin is still being moisturized while wearing "makeup". If you're looking for a good BB cream, I would highly recommend MISSHA's products!

Today I am going to share one of my favorite facial mask with you. The Bird's Nest whitening & firming facial mask by Watsons. I guess most of you have heard or seen this mask before, as it is quite popular in Hong Kong & China. I have seen this mask many times in the Watsons while I was in China, however I wasn't tempted to buy them. Reason? ..it's quite expensive.....

So why am I using it now? My friend bought a few boxes of this mask and she gave me a few sheets to try out! =D

There are 5 sheets in a box. Each sheet is drenched in 30 ml of essence (which is a lot!). 

The essence contains: 

1.Bird's Nest 

2. Snow lotus

3. Hexapeptide

 The packaging says "Watsons Bird's whitening & firming facial mask also contains Aloe Vera leaf extract, hydrolyzed pearl, silk & soy proteins and hyaluronic acid, to deeply hydrate and nourish skin, as well as boost skin luminosity and elasticity for a clearer, brighter, smoother skin texture."

Usage: 

1. Use after facial cleansing. 

2. Place the mask sheet on your face and smooth out the mask perfectly fit to the face contour.

3. Leave for 20 minutes, then remove. No need to rinse off

4. Massage the remaining essence into skin until fully absorbed.

*Avoid using on burned, damaged or sensitive skin. 

My face looked too scary with that mask .... So I decided not to post those pics online... xD

If you're looking for a mask with lasting effects, I would highly recommend this product! This mask is amazing. It brightens my skin and it became more radiant. My skin felt very hydrated and very soft for 2-3 days.The mask was quite huge, but comfortable to wear. (The smell of the mask was normal.) This mask is definitely worth trying

 這面膜蠻滋潤的，只可惜效果不持久。。而且好像沒什麽拉提的效果耶。

* Very comfortable! Adheres to my skin nicely. The handy ear hooks are to prevent the mask from dropping off the face.

These masks were worth trying. My skin became very well hydrated and  more radiant. The extended 5 cm neck care and the ear hooks are super handy for lazy people (like me..) I can walk around or watch TV without any fear of the mask dropping off my face. However, the mask was a little bit too big for me, so it didn't give me a sharper V-shape face as promised. (oh well, at least it did cover my whole face and neck!^^)
