[REVIEW] Cremorlab - Skin Tone Up CC Cream

Dear All!

While sitting on the airplane, I found myself the best place to do some blogging. Well, at least blogging preparation can be done at this moment. (Please note that this is posted around a week after being back in Town..xD)

Like a year ago, there was a product that every Taiwanese artist was recommending. It was on beauty variety shows and it was all over Facebook claiming that it makes it possible to go out without makeup with this bottle. It also took my attention and I decided to give it a try as well.

The product I am talking about is the Korean Cremorlab skin tone up CC Cream. The name itself promises to tone up the skin color already, so what else does this little nude-colored bottle do?
It has a SPF of 50, which means it has a high sun protection.

Overall, it is a bottle that moisturizes, sun protects and tones up the skin.

This CC cream is white with small color dots.  The color of the cream will change into a more nude color after some rubbing on the skin.

I like the packaging. It's a nude-colored bottle made from plastic, so it is very lightweight. They used a handwritten font on the bottle which looks very cute and artistic.

Color coverage ***
Moisturizing ***

  --------------------WARNING!----------------------

It's me without makeup but with a light layer base of the CC Cream!

Is it really like magic? I say no. This product is an okay foundation with a high sun protection. The coverage of this CC Cream is rather poor. It looks good in the beginning, but the color coverage does not lasts. It feels very creamy and oily after a while. Will I buy it again? I say no. It just did not work well for me, and I really think this product is too overrated.

[Review] 1028 Visual Therapyღ Double Wear Hydrating CC-Dation OC-02 Nude Beige【使用心得】

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Okay, this is going to be my last post in 2014. Thoughts? Nothing special... Actually I still  have to realize this year is almost over, so let me be. lol

Amsterdam has been extremely cold these days and I am having crisis with my skin. I have a quite sensitive skin which will be oily in summer and extremely dry during winter. Not to mention, I also get allergic reactions from dust and dirt. So what I have been doing these days? Trying to fix my face as soon as possible. My previous post was about a BB cream, I didn't like so much and today I'm going to write about a CC cream that feels nice and soft for cold and warm days.

Have you ever heard of this new product? It is called CCdation as it is a combination of CC cream and foundation. It has the skin benefits of a CC cream and the coverage of a foundation.

( CC cream is a color correcting cream to improve an uneven skintone. It's a tinted moisturizer with sun-protection. CC cream is usually lighter on the skin.)

So where have I seen this product? Of course at "女人我最大“ and other Variety shows where they were introducing this new product. It took my attention because the Taiwanese Beauty Guru Xiao Kai recommended it, and I wanted to try something new.

There are 2 types and 2 shades, one hydrating CC-dation and the other one is whitening. I have chosen for the hydrating one as I need that the most now. As for the shades, as usually I need a natural (darker) shade for Asian products, which is 0C-02 Nude Beige.

(The packaging is plastic square bottle with a huge cap that you can twist to open. The consistency of the cream is very watery so it might run if you don't close the cap)

* Color (Coverage, pay-off):  ♥♥♥♥  4/5
This Nude-Beige color looks very natural on me. The coverage is very light so it seems like I ain't wearing any foundation/bb cream coverage makeup, which I like. However, the coverage doesn't last for long time, as it is a very thin layer. So I have to touch up my makeup more often.

 * Moisturizing:  ♥ ♥ ♥  3/5
My skin feels nice moist after use, doesn't dry me out.

*  Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥  3.5/5
The consistency of the CC-dation is extremely watery and it is easy to apply. The coverage is nice and I get an even skin tone after applying. This CC-dation is nice as natural makeup. I would even recommend you to apply a light layer of this and people might even think you have a bare-face. I love the scent of this CC-dation, it is kinda refreshing and doesn't smell heavy. This product is definitely worth its price, as it is not expensive at all. It was like 15 USD. This product is nice to have and might even work better when I have a nicer skin condition, but for now I would rate it a 3.5 out of a 5. Recommended? Yes! I will keep you up to date about this product.

( CC-Dation: 1028 Visual Therapy Double Wear CC-Dation
Eyeliner: Heroine Make Kiss Me impact liquid eyeliner,
Mascara: Heroine Make Kiss Me Long Mascara
Lipcare: YSL Rouge Volupte Shine 01)

Thank you for reading and Happy New Year see you in 2015 <3

[Review] Diorღ Hydra Life BB Cream 【使用心得】

Hello hello,

Didn't expect to have time to do another review before Christmas, but here I am again with another blog post. Seems I have a lot more spare time to spend on my blog lol. I have been working less these months, therefore I can update more often. As you all might have noticed, I love purchasing new skincare products and cosmetics. So I have a lot to talk about.

A lot people often ask me what brand BB Cream I prefer and recommend. I usually answer Missha, because I have been using that BB cream since 2011 and I it is still my all time favorite. I do often try new products and sometimes I use other brands during different seasons. I love Maybelline's BB Mouse during summer, because my skin is feels oily during summer, and Maybelline's BB Mouse gives me a nice matte feel and a good coverage. I have another BB cream I love when I have extremely dry skin during cold days, which is Kanebo's Freshel (which I still need to review).

I was very curious about the mainstream big brands BB creams inventions. For those who don't know yet, BB Cream is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects like whitening, moisturizing and has an anti-wrinkle effect. It'll make your skin as smooth and soft as a baby lol xD.

Okay, what I wanted to say is that Western Brands don't have a whitening function in their products. From what I now is that the European market has different product needs than the Asian market. So, the western BB cream should be different from the Asian BB cream. I have been reading a lot reviews and product information about the expensive new western BB creams, and I was right. There was no whitening nor anti-wrinkle effect in those bb creams. It was more a moisturizing foundation, with a lighter coverage and some people even get an orange color after use. Therefore, I didn't dare to try any of these yet. However, I came across Dior's Hydra Life BB cream and it has quite good ratings, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure which color shade would suit me, as I usually need 1 shade darker than the lightest color available (for Asian products). Surprisingly, I needed the lightest color according to the salesperson.

 * Color (Coverage, pay-off):  ♥    1/5
The lightest color shade available in this BB cream is way too dark for me, which is weird because I don't really have a light skintone. I am more an average, and the lightest shade is only suitable for tanned people. Thus, this BB cream is a no go for light skin-toned beauties.
The color pay-off is not only to dark for me, it also has a weird orange undertone, which made me look very orangy. The coverage of the BB cream is okay, it covers my uneven skin tone.

 * Moisturizing:  ♥ ♥ ♥  3/5
Even though the color isn't a great match with me, my skin feels nice moist after use. Sometimes it feels too moist, that I'll feel sticky. So, it depends on your skin condition.

*  Overall: ♥ ♥  2/5
The consistency of the BB cream is great. It feels watery and it is easy to apply. However, it has a strong scent, which I don't really like. The coverage (as mentioned above), is quite okay. I do get an even skin tone after applying. (It's just that it'll become orange after a while.) At first, I really liked this BB cream. However, I noticed it made me orange. I feel kinda sad because I am not able to use this tube anymore and this product is, in my opinion, quite expensive. I would not recommend this as a nice BB cream, especially when you're not tanned or have a dark skin-tone.

This is the first time I am writing a blog post with quite low ratings, however, I must say I have been really honest about all the products I have been writing about. I love Dior's Hydra Life line, I love their face cleanser, creme sorbet moisturizer and the serum. This product just doesn't work for me, but it might work for you.
Oh, and another thing. BB cream is more an Asian product, I would go for Asian brands. Those are usually more effective and useful for Asian skin needs. Those are also usually more affordable.

Thank you for reading and Happy Christmas everyone! <3

[Review] Misshaღ B.B Boomer【使用心得】

I am using Missha's BB cream for my everyday makeup and I simply adore it, so I decided to give their primer a try aswell.

This famous Missha product acts like a BB cream primer, moisturizes the skin and it has anti-wrinkle properties. Basically, this B.B Boomer is to enhance the lasting power of your BB cream and gives you a brighter, even-colored and healthy looking skin.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What the packaging says: "Missha M B.B Boomer is a B.B boosting cream, which boosts  the adherence and duration of B.B cream and makes your skin look brighter when applied before B.B cream. It's a pearl, antioxidant and moisturizing ingredients make your skin more radiant while leaving it moisturized."

This B.B Boomer comes in a cute, small, white-pinkish 40 ml tube. The packaging is very simple and sophisticated, just like all the other Missha products.

This BB boomer liquid/cream itself has a very appealing white-pearly color and the smell is very strong. (Smells a bit like powdery makeup, very strong, but not bad at all.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see this B.B Boomer is very shimmery and it makes my skin dewy with a healthy glow.

Pros & Cons:

♥ Radiant look
♥ Moisturizing
♥Brightens my complexion
♥Enhances the lasting power of my BB cream
♥Makes my skin glow/shimmer
♥ Easy to apply
♥Anti-wrinkle (not sure whether it works though... xD)

(✖Strong smell..it isn't bad, but really strong!)
(✖ a bit pricey)
✖During summer too oily for my face (not recommend for oily skin types)

This B.B Boomer is an okay product. I like the radiant and dewy look, I'm happy it brightens my complexion, that it is moisturizing and that it enhances the lasting power of my B.B cream. However, this B.B Boomer makes my skin very oily and too shiny! I personally prefer a more mattifying product, as I want a more natural look. In my opinion, this B.B boomer isn't necessarily needed, as Missha's BB creams are already very moist. It's just that you might need to touch up your BB cream more often. You could also use this B.B boomer as a highlighter, it will give you a very nice shiny look. Do I recommend this product? If you have a very dry skin, YES. If you have a very oily skin, NO. Would I buy it again? Not sure yet.

[Review] Skin79ღ Super+ Blemish Balm Pink Label BB cream 【使用心得】

I have always wanted to be like a plastic doll(!!), but plastic surgery is too expensive and too risky to me, so I'll just have to live with my face. xD Oh.. and uhh.. have you noticed that all Koreans have a flawless skin?! I want that as well!!! xD haha..

I guess I might really need plastic surgery if I want to have a small face with big eyes, small nose and tiny mouth. xD Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. xD But I guess I should be possible to create a "flawless skin" look with the beauty secret of the Koreans, BB CREAM!! ^^

Today I am going to review another BB cream that I have been using a lot lately >>
Skin79 Super+ Blemish Balm Triple Function

[Review] Skin79ღ Super + Blemish Balm Pink Label
Skin79ღ Super+ 桃紅清透BB霜【使用心得】

This BB cream seem to be quite popular in Asia, it has been recommended by Kevin (Taiwanese Beauty Guru) on Nv Ren Wo Zui Da (女人我最大), so I wanted to give it a try as well. (I actually got a free sample of 15g when I purchased a White Formula toner, so I didn't pay anything for this.^^v)

For those who aren't familiar with BB cream:
BB cream is a skincare - makeup product. "Blemish Balm, also called BB cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." Therefore, BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects!

This Skin79 Super+ BB cream has three functions: whitening, UV protection and wrinkle free. These 3 functions are somewhat the most important functions of all BB creams, so this BB cream isn't much different from others I guess.

The packaging says that this product "has an excellent cover function by composition of makeup base and foundation. It can correct your irregularly different skin tones naturally. This BB cream contains Adenosine and Arbutin which are effective in whitening, wrinkles improvement cultivate more bright and elastic  moisturized skin."

-----------------------------------------

How to use this: After skincare, apply evenly on skin.

Packaging: It's PINKKKKK!!! xD I love the packaging. I like the compact size of it, and it comes with a pump. ^^

This BB cream is actually one of the most popular BB creams in Korea, so I was very curious about this product. However, after doing some research on this product, I realized that this BB cream only comes in 1 color. o.o'' I wasn't sure whether this product would be suitable for my skin color, as I am not that "white" like the Koreans are........=.=''

Like all other BB creams, Skin 79 Super+ looks greyish when you start to apply this on the skin. However, the color will adjust and blend in with your skin tone. (You might have to wait like 10 minutes though.. xD) The consistency of the BB cream is very creamy and the coverage of this product is great. My skin looked evenly and dewy after applying this BB cream. (Although, I do still need a concealer to cover my dark spots).

Pros & Cons:

♥ Natural look, no heavy foundation effect
♥ Moisturizing
♥ No exact color match is needed.
(color shades adjust to your skin as long as you get the one that is right for your undertone)
♥ Easy to apply
♥UV protection
♥ Whitening (not sure whether it works though.. xD)
♥Anti-Wrinkle

✖ The color of this BB cream might not blend well if you have a darker skin tone.
✖ my skin felt a little bit dry after a while.
(This BB cream might be more suitable for people with a more oily skin.)

This BB cream gives me a natural flawless skin look. I like the fact that my skin looks dewy and healthy after applying this. I would highly recommend this BB cream. The coverage is good enough and it has skin benefits^^!
(Nevertheless, I still like Missha M Signature Real Complete BB cream more)

Overall rating 8.5/10

[Review] Maybellineღ Pure. BB Mineral BB Mousse【使用心得】

I have so many products that I still have to share my thoughts on... no idea where to start!! It seems that everyone is more interested in BB creams, so I decided to blog about another BB cream that I have been using a lot.

Japan's Maybelline Pure. BB Mineral instant skin smoother BB mousse.
[Review] Maybellineღ Pure. BB Mineral instant Skin smoother 8-in-1 BB mousse SPF 30 PA+++
MAYBELLINE 純淨礦物BB慕絲【使用心得】

BB cream has been very popular in Asia for the last few years. Almost every brand is producing their own version of BB cream. As mentioned in my previous post about BB cream, Korea was the first to introduce this new innovative cosmetic product, so their BB creams are also the most famous ones. Maybelline Japan has introduced something different.. they have a BB mousse!

For those who are not familiar with BB cream: "Blemish Balm, also called BB cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects! It's a cosmetic item that is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace your moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunblock. So, it's a skincare-cosmetic product! Sounds interesting huh?^^

This Maybelline Pure BB Mineral instant skin smoother BB mousse has been advertised a lot in Asia. (Especially in Taiwan.) This BB mousse is also recommended by the Taiwanese beauty guru Kevin on "Nv Ren Wo Zui Da"(女人我最大). So I wanted to try this product immediately, after seeing it on TV..xD

Here's an ad of the product:

This BB mousse is a 8-in-1 mousse that will give you a healthier skin, poreless finish, clarity, natural radiance, reduced dullness, increased elasticity, hydration and reduced redness.

-----------------------------------------------------

This BB mousse only comes in one color, so it's like one color fits all. (This product is produced for the Asian market, so I think this is for all Asian skin tones ) The BB mousse comes in a spray can. Like any other spray can, you'll have to shake well before using this, otherwise you might get a very yellow-orange-colored foam.

What I don't like from this BB mousse is that the spray can is quite hard  to use. The ad says that one pump/ one bubble of mousse is enough for the whole face, but it's hard to to control the size of the mousse. I usually get  too much mousse pumped out each time. One quick pump is more than enough.

When I first tried this BB mousse, I had no idea how to apply this on my face. I tried to use my fingers, but it didn't really go smoothly and it was extremely difficult to blend. It's hard to spread this BB mousse evenly on the face, as it dries very quickly. My face looked so messed up! =.=''

After several times of trying and failure, I decided to experiment with a makeup sponge and brush. I realized that the mousse became far easier to apply using these tools, so I finally found the right way to apply this mousse evenly on my face. YAY! XD

This product gave me an even-looking coverage.
However, the mousse did not feel light on my skin, but more powdery, while other BB creams make my skin look more dewy.

I like the fact that it makes my skin very matte, especially during summer and in Taiwan, where it is super humid. However, when the skin is getting too oily or wet, the BB mousse might rub off, and the skin will end up looking unevenly.. =.='' So, you'll have to use some oil-blotting papers to prevent the patchy look. (This happens to a lot of foundations with a thick-consistency..)

Furthermore, I would not recommend this product during cold winters, as it dries out the skin.

----------------------------------------

A small bubble of foam.
You will need the double amount of this for the whole face.

--------------------------------------------

Pros & Cons:

♥ Good coverage
♥ No exact color match is needed. (color shades adjust to your skin)
♥ Makes the skin matte (ideal for hot summers)
♥ Oil control
♥ UV protection
♥ No scent
♥ No need for a concealer for dark spots/acne etc.

✖ Skin feels powdery, little bit of foundation look
✖ Not really moisturizing
✖ Hard to apply
✖ Hard to control the spray can ( too much mousse is pumped out each time)

I have been using this BB mousse a lot in Taiwan, where it is super humid and hot. I love the coverage of this BB mousse. However, it doesn't look that natural, unlike the other BB creams I have used before. This BB mousse doesn't really feel like a skincare product, it's more like a mousse foundation. If you don't mind the powdery foundation look, and you live at a place that is very humid, you could give this BB mousse a try.

[Review] Misshaღ M Perfect Cover & M Signature Real Complete BB Cream No.23 【使用心得】

Hi Beauties! ^^

Today I am going to write a review about my favorite BB creams: Missha M perfect Cover & M Signature Real Complete BB cream =D

I have a sensitive skin and I often get red spots on my face and neck =.='' So for me it is important to cover all these imperfections. When I first heard about BB cream, I was very excited about this product. It's a skincare - makeup product. "Blemish Balm, also called BB cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to sooth and regenerate the skin." BB Cream is a product with skin conditioning effects!

After lots of research online, I decided to try Missha's BB cream, as they seemed to be best all around. My first BB cream was Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream no.23. This product gave me an even natural-looking coverage, without drying my face out. I have a quite dry skin, so normal foundation won't work for me. BB cream is more like a tinted moisturizer with whitening and anti-wrinkle effects with UV protection.

I love this product! It gives me a natural flawless skin!

Overall rating 9/10

---------------------------------
Okay.... I was suppose to write a review about the M Signature Real Complete BB
cream... xD

So why did I decide to try another BB cream, while I have already found a good one? Well, 2.5 years ago, the salesperson in the Missha shop in Hong Kong introduced this newer version BB cream to me. I decided to try this new bb cream, as it seemed to be very promising. (though it was very pricey over there..=.='' MISSHA products are far more expensive in Hong Kong =.=''!!!)

This M Signature Real Complete BB cream contains: peptide complex, gingko water and 50 kinds of botanical complex, it provides abundant moisture and nutrients to the skin to help make it healthy. It is Non-chemical, Paraben-free, Mineral oil-free, Alcohol-free, GMO-free, Triclosan-free and Benzophenone-free.

This BB cream is made for sensitive and dry skin. Just like the M Perfect Cover, it reduces the signs of aging and sun-spots.

The M Signature Real Complete BB cream comes in 3 colors, no.13 light milk beige, no.21 light pink beige and no.23 natural yellow beige. Unfortunately, I am not that white, so I am using the darkest color they have, no.23 Natural yellow beige.

No.23 Natural Yellow Beige Missha BBcream

If you have a more tanned skin color, you can try the M Perfect Cover. The M Perfect Cover comes in 5 colors. They have no.27 Honey Beige and no. 31 Golden Beige for darker skin.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comparing M Perfect Cover & M Signature Real Complete:
* The M Perfect Cover has a thicker consistency
* The M Perfect Cover looks more matte and the M Signature Real Complete more dewy
* M Perfect Cover has a higher SPF (M Perfect Cover: SPF42, M Signature Real Complete: SPF 25)

Pros & Cons:

♥ Natural look, no heavy foundation effect
♥ Moisturizing
♥ No exact color match is needed.
(color shades adjust to your skin as long as you get the one that is right for your undertone)
♥ Easy to apply
♥UV protection
♥ Nice smell (though the M perfect cover is nicer! xD)

(✖ You will still need a concealer for dark spots/acne etc.)
(✖ a bit pricey, but in my opinion worth the price.. ( cheaper in Taiwan!! =D ) )

I have tried a lot of BB creams, and I must say, in my opinion, MISSHA is the BEST! xD I have a allergic and sensitive skin, so normal foundation dries my skin out and my skin will get flaky because of it. This BB cream gives me a dewy, flawless skin tone, without having a heavy foundation effect. I love the fact that my skin is still being moisturized while wearing "makeup". If you're looking for a good BB cream, I would highly recommend MISSHA's products!

Overall rating 9/10
